PRODUCT OVERVIEW
EasyBooks is a bookkeeping and management solution designed specifically for small businesses. It provides small business owners who might not know much about accounting or computers with a way to manage their businesses professionally. Noting that many small business owners are not highly computer literate, EasyBooks has been designed to be VERY easy to use.
The program provides small business owners with a solution to manage basic accounting needs and an opportunity to manage their business professionally. It allows for easy entry of sales and expenses, generates VAT invoices, calculates the income statement, provides a cash budget, helps fill in VAT returns and provides a wealth of data supporting effective management – such as tracking changes in sales, comparing sales over periods, breaking down expenditure etc. A number of charts are provided to facilitate quick and easy analysis of the business's performance.
BUSINESS STRUCTURE AND REMUNERATION
P.B.S EasyBooks is mainly marketed directly to business owners by salespeople throughout the country.
Our salespeople are afforded the opportunity to take initiative in their marketing approach. Here is an overview of commonly used marketing approaches.
1) Those salespeople who own laptops may visit business owners and give them a demonstration of the product (You are provided with a demo; with sales and expense figures for illustrative purposes).
2) Sales representatives are given an ‘affiliate website' free of charge. This is where your customers can download the demo, read more about the product, contact you and make their purchase.
3) You could also hand out demo CD's along with pamphlets.
4)Bookkeepers, brokers & consultants have the opportunity of offering the product to their existing clients.
5) You could get some copies of the demo into the local internet café.
6) Referrals and networking are also a great approach – you probably know a few people who own a business, this may provide a few easy sales.
7) Sales representatives are given access to the rep's area on our website; this area provides you with marketing guidelines and tools to help you in your approach to sales.
Whatever marketing style you choose is up to you – different approaches work for different people. We will provide you with marketing support, but it will be to your advantage to take initiative in this area.
For this you receive a highly competitive rate of commission – 35%.
The product retails for R980, so you get R343 for each unit that you sell.
How much time and effort you put into it is up to you. Whether it's a few hours a month or on a fulltime basis.
We do not ask you to sign a contract, so if you decide to opt out at any stage there won't be a problem.
HOW IT WORKS
If your application is successful you will receive the documents so that you can start selling the product within a few days. A link to a demo is provided below. Please note that it requires ‘Microsoft Excel' in order to run.
When a customer buys the product, they fill in the ‘New user registration form' on the website that we provide you with. Three copies of this form are sent out:
1) To the salesperson concerned, so that you know that you've made the sale.
2) To the customer, requesting payment.
3) To us, to process the sale.
If you are not using your website and are doing you marketing mainly offline; you may fill in the customer's details on their behalf; or print the form and ask them to fill it in.
Once payment is received we will dispatch the fully functional version of the product either by email – or post if necessary. EasyBooks users get access to a users' area on our site containing the latest available downloads.
